Having trouble with your combination? We can help.

If you are experiencing difficulty in opening your safe with an electronic lock or before changing the combination, please replace the batteries first. Doing so will save time and money. Even if you think your batteries are fine, replace them anyway. Please do not use batteries that are laying around in a drawer. Most times these do not have the power to unlock your lock and our customers have had many time delays and lost precious time...use brand new batteries.

Batteries are normally located under the keypad and accessed by pulling straight out, rotating or lifting up on the keypad.

The combination will not be erased by replacing the batteries,

If your Electronic Lock looks like any of these, please follow these instructions:

This might be a good time to replace the battery.

The battery is located under the keypad in the first two dials above . The dial lifts up but it can take some effort to do so.

The battery is inside the safe on the 3rd dial. If your battery is weak or dead, you can temporarily open the safe by holding a fresh battery against the terminal posts on the left side of the keypad face.

1. With the safe door OPEN and the bolts on the side of the safe all the way out, press the 0 button six times.

2. Enter the old combination.

3. Enter the new 6 digit combination.

4. Enter the new combination again.

5. Test the new combination and work the bolts in and out 3 or more times BEFORE closing and locking the door.

This means turn the safe handle to retract the bolts during each test cycle.

OPEN Door--- Press 000000 + Old Number + New Number + New Number---Test, Test, Test -- Close Door

Note: Some safes have detents on the hinged side of the door or on the opposite end. You must manually press this rod or clip in to release the bolts to allow testing of the lock. The rod is hidden on the edge of the door and is usually located about the middle of the door on the hinged side.

This might be a good time to replace the batteries.

The batteries are usually located under the keypad. The dial pulls straight out but it can take some effort to do so.

Some dials have a battery holder at the bottom of the keypad. It can be hard to locate and it can take some effort to release the black plastic holder.

1. With the door OPEN and the door bolts out, press the digits "7" and "4" followed by the "*" key to enter the code changing mode.

2. Enter the existing code (old number) on the keypad, followed by the "#" key. Listen for five beeps, which indicate that the lock is ready for the combination changing.

3. Press the digit "1" followed by the "*" key.

4. Enter the new 6 digit code and then press the "#" key. Upon pressing the "#" key, the lock will emit three beeps, indicating a successful entry of the new code.

5. Enter the new code again followed by the "#" key to verify the new six-digit combination. Listen for another three beeps, indicating that the second entry of the new code matches the first entry. The new combination is now ready for use.

6. Test the new combination and work the bolts in and out 3 or more times BEFORE closing and locking the door.This means turning the safe handle to retract the bolts during each test cycle.

7. Close the door.

OPEN Door--- Press 7 + 4 + * + Old number + # (5 Beeps) + 1 +* + New Number + # ( 3 beeps) + New Number + # ( 3 beeps) ---Test, Test, Test -- Close Door

If your Electronic Lock looks like any of these, please follow these instructions:

This might be a good time to replace the batteries.

The batteries are located under the keypad. The keypad dial needs to be rotated counter-clockwise a 1/4 turn to release.

Be careful not to pull too hard on the wires or they will break off.

1.With the safe door OPEN and the bolts on the side of the safe all the way out, press the "C" and then the "#" button

2.Enter the old combination then press the "#" button. Listen for a series of beeps or chirps.

3.Enter the new 6 digit combination then press the "#" button.

4.Enter the new combination and press the "#" button again. Listen for a series of beeps or chirps.

Test the new combination and work the bolts in and out 3 or more times BEFORE closing and locking the door.This means turn the safe handle to retract the bolts during each test cycle.

OPEN Door--- Press "C" + "#" (Beeps) + Old Number + "#" + New Number + "#" + New Number "#" (Beeps) ---Test, Test, Test -- Close Door

Mechanical Dials

Dial Index

On the dial ring (stationary part attached to the door) there are 2 marks or arrows, one at the 12 o’clock and the other one at the 11 o’clock position (to the left). Use the mark at 12 o’clock or top center.

1. Turn the dial counter clock-wise (to the left) at least 4 times to clear the dial. Continue going counter clock-wise and stop on your first number of your combination.

2. Turn the dial clock-wise (to the right) to your second number (this will not be a complete turn). Then still going clock-wise (right) go to your second number again. Continue turning clock-wise (right) and go to your second number for the third time (you will actually go past your second number 2 times and then stop on the third).

3. Turn the dial counter clock-wise to your third number (this will not be a complete turn). Continue turning counter clock-wise (to the left) and go to your third number (you will actually go past your third number once and then stop on the second).

4. Turn the dial clock-wise (to the right) until the dial stops at around 90 ~ 95. The dial will completely stop and will not turn any further. Then you can turn the handle and open the safe.

After following these instructions, if you are still having a problem opening your safe, please contact us. We may need to come out to your location to open and service the safe.
