In 1926, A-1 Lock and Safe began in San Diego and was one of the very first locksmith shops to serve the San Diego and outlying areas. Around 1996, A-1 Lock and Safe opened our second shop in Carlsbad to service the security needs of those living and working in the coastal community. As the security industry grew dramatically, we diversified and specialized in the automotive, residential and commercial aspects of locksmithing.
